Pobershau is since 1 January 2012, a district of the county seat Marienberg in Saxony in the Erzgebirge District. The hitherto -been independently municipality is located on the Silver Route.

Geography

Pobershau lies in the valley of the Red Pockau, a tributary of the Black Pockau. The district Rittersberg lies north of the main church on the left flank of the Red Pockau. The district Rear reason lies east of the main community somewhat isolated in the valley of the Black Pockau. The highest point is located on Pobershaus 700.5 meters above sea level. History

Pobershau with back ground

The area around the wild mountain ( between Red and Black Pockau ) belonged to the rule Lauterstein. For tin mining in 1516 is mentioned in this area. With the founding of the city of Marienberg 1521, the Red Pockau became the border between the possessions of the city and the rule Lauterstein. As of 1544, the village council, later called Council page was created on the Marienberger page. 1555 belonged to the parish council side to Marienberg, the street side of the parish Zöblitz. 1559 the settlement was first mentioned in documents as " ufn Bobershau ". 1663 the first teacher was called. In the years 1678-1680 the Green trench was created to supply 16 stamp mills with water. 1839 created the Council side and the official side as independent municipalities. The one below was the city of Marienberg and the other the Office Lauterstein. 1856 united the places to a school community. The former division is still evident in the naming of the streets.

On March 10, 1857, the two towns were joined together in a political community. 1869 presented the last mine a mining. The volunteer fire department was established in 1872. With the opening of the railway line Reitzenhain - Floeha on May 24, 1875, the community (from November 14, 1914 " Zöblitz - Pobershau " ) received by the approximately 2 kilometers north of the town center, situated in the valley of the Black Pockau station " Zöblitz " a railway connection. A new school building was built in 1883. On 1 July 1904, an independent parish with the dedication of the church Pobershau.
