Población de Campos

Población de Campos is a town on the Camino de Santiago in the province of Palencia of the Autonomous Community of Castile -Leon.

History

Its name refers to the " Campi Gothorum " ( Gothic fields ) of the Chronica Albeldense, the first word part means population settlement. Documents mention of the place a pilgrim hospice of " Caballeros de San Juan " ( Knights Hospitaller ), but from which there is no structural evidence.
