Podgórski sisters

Stefania Podgórska (* 1925 in Lipa, powiat Przemyski ) is a Righteous Among the Nations.

After her father died in 1938 after a serious illness, Stefania Podgórska began to work in Przemysl in the cloth goods act of the Jewish family Diamant 1939. During the German occupation of Poland 1939-1945 she hid in the attic of the house, which housed the business, 13 Jews - all experienced the liberation. In 1961 she emigrated to the United States, where she married Joseph Diamond, one of those rescued from it.

1979 was awarded the medal Righteous among the Nations Stefania Podgórska of the Holocaust memorial Yad Vashem.
