The Real Rosentaupilz ( Podosphaera pannosa ) is a mold of the family of powdery mildew fungi ( Erysiphaceae ). He is a plant pathogen and primarily affects roses ( Rosa ) and species of the genus Prunus.

Description

The mycelium is quickly becoming strong. It is initially white and then goes on to yellowish gray - brown. The conidia are arranged in chains. They are 23 to 29 microns long and 14 to 19 microns wide. The wall of the conidia is thin and consists of two layers. Fruiting bodies are very rarely formed when they traverse between 80 and 100 microns, and contain only a few appendages.

Dissemination

The Real Rosentaupilz grows on branches, petioles and sepals of roses or on the shoot tips of species of the genus Prunus, particularly like on peach (Prunus persica ).

The species is widespread cosmopolitan (worldwide).
