Poemen

Poimen, also called Poimen the Great ( c. 340 in Egypt; allegedly † 450 ) ranks next to Antonio's and Makarios of the most famous Christian monks of late antiquity. He is counted among the desert fathers called and is valid in all Orthodox churches and the Catholic Church as a saint.

He had six brothers, including the names are known Anubios ( the eldest ) and Paisios, which he joined in an Egyptian monastery. They were so strict asceticism revealed that they did not show her mother when she was in the monastery to visit.
