The Steelyard Stadium is a football stadium in the South Korean city of Pohang. It can accommodate 25,000 spectators and serves the club Pohang Steelers as homestead. The stadium was built in 1990 and opened on 1 November of that same year. Since that day the club Pohang Steelers carries the Steel Yard Stadium from its home games. The Steelers were four South Korean football champions today and twice won the South Korean Cup. Furthermore, the club with three wins record champions of the AFC Champions League, the biggest club competition in Asia. The victory in the Asian Champions League 2009 Pohang took part in the FIFA Club World Cup 2009 in part, reached the third place and failed only in the semi-finals in the Argentinian top club Estudiantes de La Plata.

The Steelyard Stadium may have a spectator capacity of 25,000 seats. These were achieved after recently the capacity of the previous applicable 18,960 seats was raised to todays valid number. It was built in 1990 and was at its opening, the first stadium in South Korea, which is used exclusively for football matches.
