Pohjola

Pohjola (also Pohja ) is a place in the Finnish mythology and is translated as Nordland. Pohjola is one of the main locations in the Finnish national epic Kalevala and to the land of the Sami Lapland or represent. Some say, however, that Pohjola is a fictitious place, which is the source of evil.

In the Kalevala, Louhi is the mistress of Pohjola.
