Poix-de-Picardie

Poix- de -Picardie is a commune with 2397 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region; it belongs to the district Amiens and Canton Poix- de -Picardie and is part of the Communauté de communes du Sud -Ouest Amiénois.

Geography

The municipality is situated on the north arm of the Évoissons (also known as Rivière de Poix known) and on the railway line Amiens - Rouen, where she has a train station. The department D1029 road bypasses the town to the north, the department of road D901 passes through it and here exceeds the Évoissons.

To Poix an exclave on the part of the south arm of the Évoissons and on the border with the department of Oise, which is formed by Lahaye -Saint -Romain and Frocourt.
