Pojo (Cochabamba)

Pojo is a town in the Cochabamba Department in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Pojo is the central place of the Canton Pojo and administrative seat of the district ( bolivian: Municipio) Pojo in the province of Carrasco. The village lies at an altitude of 1982 m on the left bank of the Río Pojo, which flows into the Río Mizque in the further course.

Geography

Pojo is located on the southeastern edge of the mountain range of the Cordillera Oriental, which forms the transition from the Bolivian lowlands to the high mountain ranges of the Andes.
