Pól Brennan

Pól Brennan ( born April 22, 1956 as Pól Bhraonáin in Gweedore, Ireland) is an Irish singer, music producer and songwriter. He is a member of the band Clannad, and a brother of Enya and Moya Brennan.

Life

Brennan joined with his siblings early on in the pub her father Leo. Together with the uncles Noel and Padraig Duggan he formed the band Clannad, whose first album was released in 1973. In the group he played guitar, flute and bongos. Together with his brother Ciarán, he was responsible for much of the compositions of the band that he mitkomponierte Single Theme from Harry 's Game in 1982 reached number 5 on the UK music charts. In 1989, he parted with in favor of a solo career of the band. Together with the Japanese musician Joji Hirota and Chinese Guo Yue, he published in 1992 under the name Trisan an eponymous album. 1993 was followed by a tour of the USA.

Brennan composed music for several feature films, he wrote, among other things, the soundtrack alone against crime and Kings. For the latter he won the 2008 IFTA Award.

The performances and tours of Clannad from 2007 he was again a member of the group often.
