Pol Roger

The house Champagne Pol Roger, founded in 1849, is a manufacturer of champagne. The brand is one of the last great Champagne houses still owned by the family. The company is based in Epernay Champagne in France.

From here, about 1.5 million bottles of sparkling wine are brought to the market every year.

History

The founder, Pol Roger, was born on December 24, 1831, the son of a lawyer. His professional career began in 1843 as a wholesale merchant in the wine business. He was appointed in 1849 to establish a private champagne house, whose first vintages in 1853 came on the market. In this he was supported by his family because his father was ill and could not achieve more income.
