Polaveno

Polaveno is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2640 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy. The community is located about 16 kilometers northwest of Brescia between Lake Iseo and Val Trompia on Gombiera.

History

The name of the place in his historical writing (including Polaen, Zoadel and Paolander ) suggests to a Greek origin. 1409 is transmitted by Pandolf II, a member of the Malatesta family, the place of the local jurisdiction.
