Polazna

Polasna (Russian Полазна ) is an urban-type settlement in the Perm region (Russia) with 12,753 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).

Geography

The village is situated in Uralvorland good 30 km north of the region administrative center of Perm, on the left bank there to Kamastausee pent-up Kama, at the mouth of the eponymous river Polasna.

Polasna belongs to Rajon Dobrjanka and is located approximately 20 km south of the administrative center Dobrjanka. The settlement is the administrative seat of the homonymous municipality ( gorodskoje posselenije ), which includes further twelve lying within well 10 km villages Bessowo, Demidkowo, Iwanowka, Gory, Kljutschi, Konstantinowka, Luneschki, Mochowo, Nischneje Sadolgoje, Penki, Saborje and Sujata.

History

The town was first mentioned in a statistical report on "the land wholesale Perm " from 1624 as a settlement with four courtyards at the mouth of Polasna. In 1797 there arose one of the many iron works in the region, and a factory settlement was established.

The plant was finally closed in 1927 and 1954 flooded with a part of the place from Kamastausee. 1949 had begun in the area, oil production, which the development of the place gave a new impulse. 1958 Polasna received the status of an urban-type settlement.

Attractions

In Polasna the Trinity Church ( церковь Троицы Живоначальной, Tserkov Troizy Schiwonatschalnoi ) is obtained from 1837 to 1842, which is after it was closed in 1936 since 1989 back in service.

Economy and infrastructure

The most important economic factor is the oil production, operated by LUKoil - Perm and Kama - Neft. Apart from the actual oil production, various companies of the service sector of this industry is located, drilling and transport and construction companies.

Polasna is bypassed east of the regional road that connects the center of Perm Region on the shortest path with the kamaaufwärts nearby cities Dobrjanka, Beresniki and Solikamsk. The road was extended in connection with the construction of a 1.5 km long road bridge over the pent Chusovaya immediately north of Perm in 1996, which is also a direct road link between Polasna and Perm arose. The nearest train station is located just over 10 kilometers east of Polasna in Diwja at the track Perm - Kisel.
