Polemon of Athens

Polemon the Perieget (c. 200 BC probably in Troy, † probably in Athens ) was a Greek writer and Perieget. He processed the from inscriptions, votive offerings, works of art and public monuments of Greece collected material at different levels (eg, via the castle of Athens, etc.) that were used to as treasure trove of archeology and art history much. The fragments of his writings gave Ludwig Preller (Leipzig 1838) out.
