Polish Film Awards: Best Film ( Najlepszy film)
Winners and nominees in the Best Picture since the first award of the Polish Film Awards in 1999. A film qualifies in the award the previous year, when he least seven days in a public cinema for consideration between January 1 and December 31, was exhibited.
With The Debt (2000) and Plac Zbawiciela (2007 ) was twice voted directorial work of Krzysztof Krauze to the best Polish film of the year, while the later winning films from 2003 and 2008 were taken into account in the award of the Oscars. Roman Polanski's The Pianist was nominated in seven categories for the Academy Award and won three awards, while Andrzej Wajda's Katyn unsuccessfully competed for the award for best foreign language film.
