Political Film Society Awards

The Political Film Society Awards are presented annually since 1987 by the Political Film Society in four categories of films that focus on topics such as democracy, peace, human rights and civil rights. A special prize will be awarded irregularly, so far in the years 1987-1997 and 2001.

Since 1998, prices also Stanley Awards are named because, died of cancer this year, Stanley M. Castillo, a director of the Political Film Society. In commemoration of the 41 -year-old director of the award bears this nickname today.
