Pollegio

Pollegio ( German outdated: Klosterli ) is a municipality in the district of Giornico in the district of Leventina in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland.

The village Pollegio lies on the valley floor of the Bassa Leventina. The municipality also includes the hamlet of Pasquerio, which is grown together with Biasca.

The municipal area of Pollegio is the huge installation space for the south portal of the new Gotthard Base Tunnel and Visitor Centre Gotthard south. The south portal itself is just behind the municipal boundary in Bodio.
