Polo at the 1908 Summer Olympics
In the IV Olympic Games in London in 1908 a polo tournament was held. This took place in the Fulham area in the exclusive Hurlingham Club.
All three teams were British; two were from London and the third was an Irish selection. In the first game the two English sides met. The winner then played in the second game against the Irish selection. There was no match for the bronze medal, which is why both teams losers received the silver medal.
