Polonia Cernăuţi

Czerniowce Polonia ( Polonia rumän. Cernăuţi ) was a Polish football club from Czernowitz in a time when this town belonged first to Austria -Hungary and then to Romania.

History

Polonia Czerniowce was founded in 1907 under the name of Sarmatia Chernivtsi. This association was dissolved in 1909 and 1910, re-established in order to join the BASK Chernivtsi in the same year. 1912 split the sports club Dorost Sokoły Chernivtsi on the BASK. In 1914 it was renamed the Victoria Czernowitz and the spring of 1919 in Polonia Czerniowce. In Romanian sources, the association is made ​​with the names transferred into Romanian Clubul Sportiv Polonia Cernăuţi. Beginning in October 1935 Polonia its name to Wawel Czerniowce.

Stadium
