Polyaryletherketone

Polyether ketones ( PEK short ) are polymers occur at any time, in its molecular backbone ketone and ether functionalities. The most common are polyaryletherketones ( PAEK ), where each is located in a linked ( 1,4)- position aryl group between the functional groups. The thus very rigid backbone gives the materials compared to other plastics very high glass transition and melting temperatures. The most common by far that high-temperature resistant materials is polyether ether ketone (PEEK).

Other representatives of the polyether ketones are:

  • PEKK = poly ( etherketonketon )
  • PEEEK = poly ( etheretheretherketon )
  • PEEKK = poly ( etheretherketonketon )
  • PEKEKK = poly ( ether ketone - etherketonketon )
