Polyolester

Polyol esters, abbreviated as POE, are esterified polyhydric alcohols ( alcohols having more hydroxyl groups ), which are today used in particular as lubricant for HFC refrigerants. These refrigerants have a more polar property and therefore do not mix with mineral oils, or in to a small extent. A disadvantage of these ester oils is that they are also to other polar substances, especially water, have a high affinity.
