Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra

The Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (Portuguese: Instituto Politécnico de Coimbra, short IPC) is a technical college in the Portuguese university city of Coimbra.

The IPC is one of a number of technical universities in Portugal, all of which are state-run. The college was founded in 1979 from the merger of existing and new secondary schools, the common teaching, however, was only resumed in 1988. The Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra provides for his subjects at Bachelor 's degrees and now comprises some 10,000 students and 700 professors.
