Polyxenos Epiphanes Soter

Polyxenos (also Latin Polyxenus ) was an Indo - Greek king who is only known by his (few) coins. He is sometimes called Epiphanes and Soter. He probably reigned only briefly, its territory was in the Hindu Kush. The exact chronological fixing his reign is controversial in research. Narain sees him as a vassal king of Menander. It appears a bust with helmet and Pallas on his silver coins. Athena with a helmet on one side and a Gorgonenkopf on the other hand appears on the copper coins.
