Pom-pom
A Pompon (also known as pom -pon, or pompom slippers ) is a term used in the Cheerleading Dance fronds.
The pom-poms came on after the Second World War and to the rhythmic arm movements cheerleader visually underline. It was first made of cloth, and later from paper. Around 1965 Polyvinyl chloride was first used to produce, since then continued as a plastic weatherproof material through. There are now numerous shape and color variations. In Germany pompoms find also in the carnival at guard dance groups use.
