Blaukopf Angelfish ( Pomacanthus xanthometopon )

The blue head Angelfish ( Pomacanthus xanthometopon ) or Queen Angelfish is a species in the family of angelfish ( Pomacanthidae ).

Appearance

Blaukopf angelfish are up to 38 centimeters long. Their body color is blue. Each scale has a yellow border. The caudal fin, dorsal fin, pectoral fins and throat are yellow. The pelvic fins and the front of the anal fin are blue. The head has a net-like, blue drawing with a yellow mask over the eyes. In the back of the dorsal fin is a black eye patch.

Boy blue head angelfish are dark blue with light blue and white vertical stripes on the body.

Dissemination

He lives in the central tropical Indo-Pacific Ocean, on the north coast of Australia to New Guinea to Sulawesi, at the southern tip of Sumatra in the Caroline Islands and the Maldives. Blaukopf angelfish live on reef slopes and lagoons in depths of 5-20 meters.

Nutrition

Blaukopf angelfish feed on sponges, sea squirts and algae.

Aquarium maintenance

Blaukopf angelfish are occasionally imported for storage in salt water aquariums. Responsible lovers should refrain from buying because you can provide animals of this size do not provide adequate habitat.
