Pomeranian Lakeland

The Pomeranian Lakeland is a lake district in Eastern Pomerania. It is now in the east of the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship ( north-west Poland ).

The Lake District is located in the extreme western foothills of the Baltic country back and consists of a number of lakes. It is of glacial origin and is nestled between moraine hills. The Lake District is very similar and the Masurian lake district and the Holstein Switzerland.

The largest lake is the Jezioro Drawskie ( Dratzigsee; 18.66 km ²), of which the most important river, the Drage (Polish drawa ), the landscape flows. The most important places are Myślibórz ( Soldin ), Czaplinek ( Tempelburg ) Szczecinek ( Pommern ), Połczyn Zdrój (Bad Polzin ) and Chojnice ( Konitz ). Because the Pomeranian Lake District is much less known than the Masurian Lake District, it is considered touristy yet little developed and original.
