Pomerape

The Pomerape ( 6222 meters ) is an extinct stratovolcano on the border between Chile and Bolivia in the area of the Atacama Desert. It lies in the Lauca National Park 145 km east of Arica in the Western Cordillera of the Central Andes. Together with the Parinacota volcano, which is located southwest of him, he forms the Payachata complex.

The summit of Pomerape can be climbed as a day trip from the nearby under him in 4200 m altitude village relatively simple.
