Pomerode

Pomerode is a small town with about 27,772 inhabitants in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina. The city lies on the Rio Testo, about 25 km north of Blumenau, to which it belonged administratively to 21 January 1959. Around the year 1861 founded by Pomeranian settlers Pomerode today with about 92 percent of the urban population for the largest proportion of ethnic German population in Brazil.
