Pomierzyn

Pomierzyn ( German Pammin ) is a village in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. The village is part of the Kalisz Pomorski Gmina ( urban and rural community Kallies ) in the powiat Drawski ( Dramburger circle).

Geographical location

The village is located in Eastern Pomerania, about 90 km east of Stettin. Leads through the village in north-south direction, the province road 175, the course of which the former imperial road here corresponds to 164.

Neighboring towns are to the south of the province road the Kalisz Pomorski ( Kallies ), in the west Suchowo ( Zuchów ), on the north by the province road Poźrzadło Wielkie (large mirror ) and to the east Giżyno ( Giesen ).

About one km west of the village is the dwelling place Ślizno ( Julienhof ), about one km north-east on the Great Tarnitz Lake of living space Tarnice ( Tarnitz ).

History

The village was first mentioned in a land book of 1337, then under the place name Banin as property of the Bruthow family.

Before 1945 Pammin formed a rural municipality in the district of Pomerania in the Prussian province of Pomerania.

In 1945, the village, as the whole Pomerania, to Poland. The village received the Polish place names Pomierzyn.

Church

The church was built in 1869 in place of an earlier building from which some of the characters were incorporated into the new church.
