Poniente Almeriense

The Comarca Poniente almeriense is one of the 7 Comarcas in the province of Almería. It was, like all Comarcas in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, furnished with effect from 28 March 2003.

The comarca includes 9 municipalities with 249 300 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013), ie about 36% of the province 's population.
