Via Domitia

The Pont Serme or Pons Selinus, later also called Pons Septimus, was a Roman bridge of the Via Domitia in Hérault in southern France. The viaduct crossed the marshland of Orb west of Beziers and exceeded with a length of about 1500 m even the Trajan's Bridge over the Danube. From the fabric of the name of a village near today are hardly any traces in the terrain detectable only evidence of the former existence of the bridge.
