Pontevedra CF

Pontevedra Club de Fútbol is a Spanish football club from the Galician city of Pontevedra. The club currently plays in Segunda División B (Group I).

History

Pontevedra CF was established in 1941 by the merger of the most important clubs in the city, Eiriña and Alfonso CF, into life. The first promotion to the Primera División succeeded in 1963. Between 1963 un 1970 denied you a total of six seasons in the Primera División, reaching 1965/66 the best result the club's history, the seventh overall place.

On 23 January 2006, the club took place, one of the last in the Spanish professional football, the transformation into a sports corporation. Thus are organized as traditional clubs currently only Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, ​​Athletic Bilbao and Osasuna.
