Pontiac Executive
The Pontiac Executive was built by the U.S. automakers Pontiac model of the upper middle class, which was offered from 1967 to 1970.

Had 1966, the predecessor Star Chief Executive has the nickname, so this name was established in 1967 for the actual model name. Between the simple equipped Catalina and the luxurious Bonneville Executive took the middle point in the range of " full-size " cars. The car showed the typical Pontiac at the end of the 1960s design with a wide grille with painted center bar and stacked dual headlights. The fashionable "Coke -bottle " design ( first tested the Chevrolet Corvair 1965) manifested itself in a hip bend over the rear wheel arches.
With the longer wheelbase, a 4-door sedan and two hardtop versions with 2 or 4 doors were available. Had the 5 - door wagon with six or nine seats, like all Pontiac station wagon at this time, a reduction of 3 " smaller wheelbase and carried the nickname Safari. 1969-1970

In 1969 there were in the appearance of the vehicles no major changes, but the wheelbase has been increased by 1 ". The base V8 engine developed at the same cubic capacity is now 290 bhp (213 kW).
1970 was again a major facelift. The cars had now individually in rectangular boxes arranged side by side dual headlights and the grille consisted of two vertically arranged grating surfaces, forming a massive, protruding nose along with the wide, chromed center web. The wide rear lights ( the coupe and sedans ) were placed in the rear bumper. Technically, there were no changes in this year.
1969 and 1970 caused 47 781 sedans and coupes with long wheelbase and short-wheelbase station wagon 23 706. The Executive station wagon remained without successors; the sedans and coupes were called from 1971 Catalina Brougham.
