Pope Sabinian

Sabinianus (* in Blera, † February 22 606, buried in St. Peter's, Rome ) was Pope from 604 to 606

Sabinianus comes from Blera ( Bieda ) near Viterbo, capital of the former Etruscan empire. He was the son of a certain bonus, but his birth year is unknown.

Sabinianus is attributed to the introduction of the ringing of the church bells at the hourly prayer and Eucharist.
