Popple Peak

The Popple Peak ( Afrikaans: Popplepiek, also Khoko - Ntso, Khoko - Ntšo ) is a mountain massif in the Drakensberg, South Africa. It stands on the border between South Africa and Lesotho, where the peak is located in the territory of Lesotho. The mountain is 3331 m high and rises above the escarpment surrounding mountains up to 300 m. About four kilometers (direct distance ) north- west lies the summit of Njesuthi.

The peak was named after John Poppleton, who had reached the peak together with Barry Anderson and Des Watkins in 1946.
