Poprad (river)

The Poprad ( German Popper also, Hungarian Poprad ) is a river in Slovakia and Poland, which rises in the High Tatra Mountains, flows through the town of Poprad and then opens above Nowy Sacz in Poland by the river Dunajec. Of the total length of 174 km are 113 kilometers in Slovakia, 31.1 km and 30.9 km form the border are in Poland. Catchment area of ​​Poprad is the Oberzips.

The river is formed by the confluence of the streams Hincov Potok ( German Hinzenbach ) and Ľadový Potok ( German Rein ).
