The Pocomchí language, also Poqomchi ' or Poqomchí is the language of the indigenous people of Pocomchí in Guatemala and, with nearly a hundred thousand speakers to the larger Mayan languages .
Dissemination
The Pocomchí language is spoken in the departments of Alta Verapaz, Baja Verapaz and El Quiché.
In the 2002 census gave 92 941 persons (0.9%) Poqomchí as their mother tongue; 114 423 (1.0%) described themselves as Poqomchí.
