Attractions

Built before 1178 Castle of the Counts of Porcia still dominates the town, which was once surrounded by a wall. Interestingly, the clock tower from the 13th century, the Town Hall loggia from 1555, the church of Santa Maria ( 14th and 16th century), the Lehnsherrengebäude in the Renaissance style, the church of San Giorgio ( beautiful decorated with inlaid choir stalls from the 17th century ) and the Campanile (1488-1555), the only double spire in the whole Friuli. Its belfry is via a staircase, but on a sloping, 46-story ramp accessible (on which also the victorious animal traditionally held at Assumption donkey race increases).
