Porl Thompson

Porl (Paul ) Stephen Thompson ( born November 8, 1957 in London) is an English guitarist and painter.

Thompson was from 1977 to 1979 and from 1984 to 1992 member of the British alternative band The Cure. He was also in charge with his company Parched kind for the design of some Cure Cover and contributed with his inimitable style significantly to the image of the band with. After his second exit at the The Cure he made himself as a painter a name and exhibited his works in prestigious galleries in the UK, U.S. and Australia. He also played in the 90s as a guitarist with Page & Plant. From June 2005 to 2008 Thompson played again with The Cure. After his exit, he started again in April 2012 an online auction of his entire used in The Cure and various pieces of equipment designed by him for the cover of the band works of art. In addition, he was changing his stage name of ' Porl ' in ' Pearl' known.
