Poronin

Poronin is a village and seat of the rural community in southern Poland on the border with Slovakia.

In the 17th century a settlement to the village Poronin was appointed. Beginning of the 19th century was a chapel and Poronin became an independent municipality.

The city is a popular winter holiday destination today. There is also a former ski jump, the Galicowa grapa. The operation was set in the eighties.

The city was also the trailhead International Peace Race 1988.
