Porron

A Porrón [ pɔrɔn ], Catalan Porro [ puro ], is a glass or clay container from Spain with a filling opening up and a funnel-shaped drinking tube with a narrow spout on the side, which is traditionally used in Catalonia, Aragon and Valencia.

The Porrón summarizes usually a 3/ 4 liters and becomes the water, but mainly used for wine drinking. For this, the head is placed in the neck and lifted and tilted the Porrón over his head. The liquid shoots now in a thin stream from the drinking tube directly into her mouth without it touches the vessel. The difficulty is to make the mouth accurately and to swallow the liquid, without closing the mouth. The faster the performing and the longer the beam, the more difficult the design. The principle is the same as in the Bota. This is, however, more commonly used on the go, while the Porrón comes at the dinner table and in traditional local to the application.
