Port Talbot Town ( officially: Port Talbot Town Football Club ) is a football club based in the Welsh town of Port Talbot, the current in the League of Wales, the highest Welsh League, plays.

History

The club was founded in 1901 as Port Talbot Athletic.

In 2000, one rose in the League of Wales, the highest Welsh league on. Then they changed the name in 2011 and changed his name to Port Talbot Town. For Afan Lido FC is a rivalry because both teams are separated only about half a mile apart. The rivalry is one of the most violent in South Wales.

A third place in the season 2009/10 entitled the club to participate in the UEFA Europa League 2010/11. However, one difference in the first qualifying round with 1:7 (1:3 & 0:4 ) against the Finnish Turun Palloseura representatives. It was so far the only international appearance of Port Talbot Town.

The average number of visitors was 1994-2010 270 spectators, although the number of spectators increased in recent times. The highest number of audience reached so far been achieved in the game against Swansea City with 2,609 spectators. The game took place in the quarter- finals of the FAW Premier Cup in 2007 and Port Talbot won 2-1.

The fans of Port Talbot Town are known for their loyal and passionate lyrics, which is why they are considered one of the best fan bases in Wales. The Ultra group that calls itself The Burns Road Enders or short Burners, is considered one of the most extreme groups throughout the Welsh league. During the Games, the grouping used frequently Bengal lights, drums and trumpets.
