Port-Vendres

Port- Vendres (Catalan Portvendres ) is a commune with 4240 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Pyrénées- Orientales in the Languedoc- Roussillon region. It belongs to the district of the canton of Ceret and Vermilion. It lies on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea near the border with Spain. Neighboring communities of Port- Vendres are: Collioure in the north, Banyuls -sur -Mer in the south and Argeles- sur -Mer on the west.
