Portalegre District

The Portalegre District (Distrito de Portalegre ) is a district of Portugal, which is composed mostly of the traditional province of Alto Alentejo and Ribatejo some circles. The Portalegre District borders the District of Castelo Branco in northern Spain in the east, the Évora District in the south and the District of Santarém in the West. Area: 6065 km ². Population ( 2001): 127 018. Capital of the district: Portalegre. License plate for trailers: PT.
