Porte des Lilas (Paris Métro)

Porte des Lilas is an underground station of the Paris Métro. It is located in the 19th and the 20th arrondissement at the rue de Belleville. It is served by the Métro lines 3 bis and 11.

The station was taken on November 27, 1921 opening of the line 3 in operation. This wrong time to the station. On 28 April 1935, the station was opened on the line 11. In 1971 the line was extended from Gambetta to Gallieni 3 and slammed the section between Gambetta and Porte des Lilas of the new line 3 bis. Until the central station Châtelet ( Paris Métro ) is about five and a half kilometers.

The song by Serge Gainsbourg from the late 1950s Le Poinçonneur des Lilas on the monotonous activity to the devaluation of countless ticket described the station as a place of alienated labor of an employee of the Métro.
