Porto Recanati

Porto Recanati is an Italian town with 11,716 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) on the Adriatic coast in the province of Macerata, Marche. The city is located 25 km south of Ancona. In ancient times it was known as Potentia.

The city is located 5 m above sea level, covers an area of 17 km ² and has a population density of 557 inhabitants / km ². The local saint is San Giovanni Battista.

Porto Recanati is a popular tourist destination with its 8 km of sandy beach.
