Portuguese League for Professional Football

The Liga Portuguesa de Futebol Profissional ( LPFP, Portuguese for: Portuguese league of professional football ) is an organization that is responsible for professional football in Portugal. Thus, the Primeira Liga ( first division ), the Segunda Liga (Second League ) and operated since the 2007/2008 season, the League Cup " Taça da Liga ". The LPFP is a company governed by private law.

It was founded in 1978 and is based in Porto. The LPFP is about the Portuguese equivalent of the German Soccer League.
