Posedarje

Posedarje is a municipality in the County of Zadar in Croatia.

The municipality has 3,607 inhabitants ( 2011 census ), of whom an absolute majority are Croats. Posedarje is known in Croatia and also about the Croatian boundary for its prosciutto (ham ), which is smoked with native shrubs and woods, and thus has a distinctive aroma. The town was first mentioned in the 12th century.
