Postomino

Postomino [ pɔstɔ'minɔ ] ( German Pustamin ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It is the eponymous town and seat of the rural commune ( gmina wiejska ) Postomino in powiat Slawienski.

Geographical location

Postomino located in Pomerania, about 15 kilometers north of Sławno ( Schlawe ) in the Province Road 203 and about in the middle of the city triangle Darłowo (Rügenwalde ) - Ustka ( Stolpmünde ) - Sławno.

Village Postomino ( Pustamin )

History

Postomino (formerly Pustamyn and Wendish Pustamin ) is an ancient manor and peasant village. It is Wendish origin, whereupon the ending 'min' of the place name indicates. His first documentary mention is found in the year 1301 Soon after, the place owned by the family von Below is -. . Thereafter, until 1792, the town belongs changing owners until 1908 then reappearing the name of Below.

Pustamin was from 1818 to 1945 in the district Schlawe right on the border to the district Stolp at the intersection of roads Rügenwalde (now Polish: Darłowo ) - Stolp ( Slupsk ) and Stolpmünde ( Ustka ) - Schlawe ( Sławno ). The place was a railway station on the railway line Schlawe - Stolpmünde.

By 1945 Pustamin formed its own official and the civil registry district and belonged to the district court district Schlawe in the district of Koszalin ( Koszalin ). It started the immigration of Poland, and the German locals were forced out of their villages and homes. By 1945 the parish Pustamin belonged - with the chapel community Pennekow, from 1928 also co-administration of the parish Marsow - the church circle Rügenwalde the Church Province of Pomerania in the Protestant Church of the Old Prussian Union. Roman Catholic Church

Tourism

Postomino is located in the coastal area of the Baltic Sea with dunes and beaches. In the south the Wieprza ( Wipper ) flows through the municipal area, and in the north is the Jezioro Wicko ( Vietzker lake).
