Pourcharesses

Pourcharesses is a commune in the Lozère department in the Languedoc- Roussillon region. It is located at about 600 meters above sea level and has 115 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

It is in the southern Massif Central in the Cevennes region on the banks of the reservoir Lac de Villefort. The highest mountain of the Cevennes, Mont Lozère, is located about 25 km southwest of the community.

Attractions

The Château de Castanet from the 16th century is located on the former banks of Altier.
